I’m standing in a meadow in Bolsterlang; it’s just past 8 p.m., the sun is still hanging over the ridge, and a long-time client - whom I usually only know in a business context - is laughing so loudly that I turn around. I’ve never heard him laugh like that before. Here, with a glass in his hand and the mountains behind him, he suddenly starts talking about his last mountain vacation, about his daughter - about everything except work. And right at that moment, I knew: This place has a greater impact on people than we usually give it credit for.
That’s exactly what this article is about: the effect it has on people when you take them out of their usual surroundings - in this case, right into the heart of nature.
